Visitor`s break-up by industry and region at India`s `total`
packaging event 2008.
India's
Total Packaging event received 13,534 unique visitors over the
four day period. “The quality of visitors is improving with each
exhibition,” said Neelkant Bakshi of Packolabel.
Much like the previous year the visitors were evenly divided between
users of packaging and those from the printing and packaging industry.
While the Printers, Converters, Corrugated Box Manufacturers and
their suppliers formed around 45 percent of the visitors, the
end users from industries like Food & Beverage, Pharmaceuticals,
Chemicals, Personal Care and Organized Retail formed a little
over 37 percent. AIDC, Automation, IT and Logistics saw close
to 10 percent and the rest being Government officials and representatives
of trade associations, media and others.
However,
the regional profile of the visitors saw a little change where
72 percent of the visitors came from North, two thirds of which
were from NCR alone. South numbered 8 percent while east contributed
close to 3 percent. There was a perceptive increase in the visitors
from the West at 17 percent, which is 30 percent higher than last
year. `We received a lot of inquiries from regions like Maharashtra
and Gujarat indicating growing popularity of the show in these
areas,` said Nalin Sharma, Global Graphics.
